Major Festivals

Pushkar Camel Fair (November) — Asia's largest camel fair, a spectacle of trading, folk music, and camel beauty contests. Jaisalmer Desert Festival (February) — folk dances, turban-tying competitions, and camel races on the Sam dunes. Holi in Jaipur (March) — the most exuberant Holi celebrations in India, with flower petals and music.

Arts & Crafts

Rajasthan is India's greatest craft state. Jaipur is famous for blue pottery, block-printing, and precious gemstones. Jodhpur specialises in wrought-iron furniture and tie-dye textiles. Jaisalmer produces stunning camel-leather goods and mirror-work embroidery. Udaipur is known for its miniature Pichwai paintings.

Music & Dance

The Kalbeliya snake-charmer dancers (UNESCO Heritage) perform across Rajasthan. Manganiyar musicians play haunting desert folk songs. The Bhavai dance — performed balancing earthen pots — is unique to Rajasthan. Most cities offer nightly cultural shows at heritage venues.
